 
Designed for tangential membrane process separations for small volumes,
MidiKros disposable filters are practical devices suitable for starting batch volumes ranging from 100ml-3L.
These modules are an ideal alternative to centrifugation for applications where pellet formation is
undesirable. Flow is supplied using a peristaltic pump. MidiKros modules are hollow fiber membranes
encased in a polysulfone housing. MidiKros modules are scalable and autoclavable with a membrane
surface area ranging from 22-610 cm2. They are also available sterile.
Process fluid is pumped through the inlet port, flows tangentially
across the membrane lumenal surface and exits the opposite end of the
module through the outlet port. While the majority of the stream and
constituents is rejected and continues down stream, a small percentage
passes through the membrane into the extra-capillary space as permeate.
